Carbon Offsetting with Climate Care
We are committed to responsible tourism and like to offer our guests the opportunity to contribute to reducing the environmental impact of their flights. A recommended contribution of $15 per person for the private transfers to and from Vamizi can be donated at the time of booking and will be given to Climate Care.

It is at the forefront of innovative emission reduction projects (EMR) with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa, specialising in socially based projects with tangible impacts, such as a cook stove project in Ghana, and a water filter project in Kenya, both of which are Gold Standard projects.
Coconut crabs thrive on Vamizi Island
Vamizi Island is home to one of the world’s most amazing crustaceans - the terrestrial coconut crab. Grant Brokensha spends some time filming these creatures as they interact with their smaller cousins, the hermit crabs.
